While there is no good transport from Chisinau, there is the option of going to Orhei and from there take a local marshrutka, signalling to the driver where you want to be left off. The monastery itself is doable in half an hour, but is still a nice place to relax and catch a breath from the metropolitan areas. There is a religious/souvenir shop with really aesthetic icons and crosses to be had, although the priests might eye you a bit if you seem non-orthodox

I really like trattoria for their big choice of what to eat. A very good place to throw a party with reasonable prices , fine and cheap coffee and tea.
